3-minute read

Dear human,

Autumn has arrived, and with it that natural pull to slow down and turn inwards. Here's what's been happening, and what's coming next.

September recap

September was a full-on month in the best possible way. Bianca and I hosted the second edition of the Return to You Retreat in Italy, and coming back to the same beautiful space at Villa Rivo felt like returning to an old friend. Sharing that time with our students was a real gift.

One takeaway stayed with all of us: make room for laughter and silliness in our everyday lives. We take so much so seriously. Alongside that came a gentle reminder to carve out real time and space to take care of ourselves too, not just everyone else.

So this month, my invitation to you is to be a little bit sillier and a little bit kinder to yourself.

Retreat updates

The Solstice Reset Retreat, 24–27 June 2027 in Le Grand-Bornand, France, is SOLD OUT. Thank you so much! If you'd love to join, just reply to this email and I'll add you to the waitlist in case any spots open up.

Meet our chef: Ben Riddle This month we'd like to introduce our wonderful vegan chef, Ben. With more than 20 years of international experience, Ben creates plant-based food that is as nourishing as it is beautiful, celebrating the seasons and the flavours of the local region. He's also the author of the cookbook Happy Heart, and he truly believes in the healing power of food.

What we love most about Ben is that he works quietly in the background, so the kitchen becomes the warm heart of the villa and all you have to do is sit down and enjoy. Expect to leave very well fed.

Recommendation of the month:

The Way meditation app

If you've ever struggled to keep up a meditation practice (hello, all of us), this one's for you. The Way guides you along a simple path with meditations of 10 minutes or more, and it makes building a consistent practice much easier.

And consistent doesn't have to mean daily. That's OK! I've loved coming back to it again and again, and it's helped me feel more centred, less reactive, and grateful for a little stillness that's just for me.

What to look forward to

New yoga classes in Cessy, coming soon (hopefully from November!) Every Thursday, come and join me at the new Olymna Studio, overlooking Mont Blanc:

Come for one, or stay for both and flow into a deliciously slow evening. I can't wait to build a community there, so close to home. More details soon, and feel free to bring a friend.
